Everyday objects are often just as exciting for children to discover as their colourful toys. What might it look like if the world of objects came to life? The dance piece *Dingsbums* by Barbara Fuchs is dedicated to kitchen utensils. In this performance for very young audiences, familiar objects suddenly take on a life of their own, becoming fellow dancers and mirror images. Three performers explore, feel and experience this world of objects – and merge with them: the objects become extensions of their bodies, disappearing beneath their clothing. Objects, people and movements blend together in a wondrous way, giving rise to entirely new hybrid beings.
