The Dance Crime

a criminological case study for a performer and her audience. 

She had obviously enjoyed it and was already planning the next action. A quirky view of dance. Located between poetry, comedy and autopsy.
The accomplices are talking in the background. The victim lay motionless and exhausted on the ground. "And besides that everything happened so fast," the witness reported. Some turned away, shaking their heads uncomprehendingly. Others tried to understand what happened and what the perpetrator was thinking?

"The Dance Crime" was awarded with the Cologne Dance Prize in 2004.
"The solo by Barbara Fuchs is distinguished by the originality and perfectly combined getanztem genre mix of thriller and satire," said the jury's verdict.
It was also "The Dance Crime" for the tanzstrasse 2005 selected by a professional jury. It is three outstanding artists NRW makes their productions in the cities of Bonn, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Krefeld and present. And was nominated in 2006 for the Festival TheaterZwang.

Premiere on Friday, 13.11.2004 in the series tanzhautnah in the Civil Stollwerck, Cologne. Other venues: Bürgercentrum Stollwerk, Tanzhaus NRW, Krefeld Heeder, Bonn Brotfabrik, Eis Fabrik Hanover and Dortmund Theater im Depot.
